Nadia Afghani 

DIGITAL FABRICATIONS MANAGER

Nadia Afghani specializes in blending Art and Technology and brings nearly 15 years of experience working in higher education. She holds an MFA in Interrelated Media and is a member of the art collective Finishing School. Nadia approaches digital fabrication as a creative medium in its own right. She is passionate about helping others explore the intersection of craft and innovation through hands-on experimentation and collaborative problem-solving.

Nevada Hardman

LAB TECHNICIAN 

Nevada Hardman is our Senior Digital Fabrication Technician with a background in fine art and advanced methods of making. Having studied sculpture at UCLA, Nevada’s expertise spans traditional metalworking and woodworking to experimental digital processes, including CNC machining, 3D printing, and electronics. Their practice bridges craft and technology, offering students and faculty hands-on support and collaborative problem-solving to move ideas seamlessly from concept to finished work

Jason Strong

LAB TECHNICIAN 

Jason uses lasers to make cute animals out of felt. He has a background in animation and game design, and is constantly experimenting with any digital fabrication technology he can get his hands on

Brett Bognar

LAB TECHNICIAN 

Brett graduated from USC in 2023 with a degree in Neuroscience and Product Design, so he knows his way around campus! He’s now fully immersed in the world of digital fabrication and industrial design. Passionate about hands-on prototyping, fabrication techniques, and problem-solving, Brett enjoys tackling complex design challenges. He works fluently in tools like Rhino, SolidWorks, and KeyShot.
